I am very excited to have finalized the production of our second in a series of anthology books that are intended to provide women with a platform to share their stories of encouragement, inspiration and prosperity. Our first book, Overcoming Mediocrity – Dynamic Women, was a smashing success and was released on May of 2013 with 22 participating authors sharing their stories. Plus we achieved bestselling status on Amazon in the motivational genre category in only one day. Yeah!!!!
My goal with this project initially was to provide the women of my organization, The Dynamic Professional Women’s Network, Inc., a platform to share their stories and then leverage their new author status to gain additional exposure for their business. However, it ended up taking on a life of its own and it made a bigger impact than anticipated as I started to hear testimonials from women who read the book and connected with one or more of the inspirational stories inside.
Because of this initial overwhelming success, I decided to develop a new vision for this venture which is much larger than the previous one. My new “Exciting, Magical and Wildly Epic Goal” for this project is to build the Overcoming Mediocrity brand stronger and to have our collection of books become nationally recognized and carried by the big book stores in addition to our current Amazon distribution. I want the authors of the current, past and future volumes to gain increased exposure and greater blessings for aligning themselves with this project so they can share their stories with larger audiences and make a greater impact. (The Chicken Soup series did it, why can’t we?)
It is with great honor and pride that I am able to share with you stories from some very courageous women in our second anthology book in this series. I have had the pleasure of getting to know each of these ladies to learn a little about whom they are and about the courageous stories they planned to share. I am also deeply inspired by the courage that they are still exhibiting by sharing some personal details of their lives with the sole intention of equipping the reader to learn from their experiences and to spare themselves a little pain, if possible. Not only does this demonstrate courage, but humility and the heart of a true go-giver. These women, while still on the amazing journey of their lives, all have great things yet to come. They are women who you should know, learn from and emulate.
This next book, Overcoming Mediocrity – Courageous Women, should be out by the end of the month and I will be sure to let you know when they are ready to share. If you want to learn more about the authors and reserve your very own autographed copy, visit www.dpwnpublishing.com.
Hugs!
